We are lucky enough to have a great selection of 4 pubs within 3 miles of A Corner of Eden. You can walk across the fields to the nearest country inn which takes less than 10 minutes! We’ve also listed some of our favourites around Cumbria & the Yorkshire Dales.
Why not have afternoon tea or dinner cooked for you at the cottages? We have a number of excellent private chefs who can offer ‘deliver & dine’ pre made meals or cook for you in the cottages.
Supermarket deliveries can be arranged from Sainsbury’s, Tesco & Asda.

Lamb Inn
An old fashioned homely pub and restaurant that serves good food. Classic car clubs can often be lined up outside. 10 minutes walk across the fields! Dog friendly.

Swan
Eat in the restaurant, bar, or outside in the beer garden by the river – great selection of real ales. Head chef Scott Fairweather creates amazing dishes, a must for foodies. Dog friendly.

A 16th century temperance inn which doesn’t serve alcohol, but are happy for you to take your own.

Swaledale Butchers
Priding themselves in whole-carcass, nose-to-tail butchers of native breeds, they offer some great meat boxes delivered to our cottages from their base in Yorkshire.
