We have filled our cottages with some fabulous products that we have sourced locally, searching for the best of the best throughout Cumbria and Yorkshire too.
The obvious ones are in our jam-packed champagne welcome hamper, but others you might not know about, so we thought we’d share them here in case you’d like to have a little bit of ‘A Corner of Eden’ at home.

Mike bakes luscious sourdough bread from his home in the next village and delivers them fresh every Monday & Friday for our guest welcome hampers.
Katie’s
Cakes
Katie is a local girl who makes the most wonderful chocolate cake for our welcome hamper. Always getting a mention in our guest books and online reviews. She also creates the most amazing special occasion cakes and cupcakes to order.

Muesli
Luke & Tim hand roast this amazing small batch muesli here in Cumbria. A delicious addition to our welcome hampers. Once tasted, no other muesli will do!
Kennedy’s Fine
Chocolates
David and his team supply us with these delicious handmade chocolates for our hampers, they are based in Orton village just 8 miles away. Pop down and visit their cafe and chocolate shop when you are here.
Eva’s Organic
Apple Juice
A new addition to our welcome hamper for 2020 is Cumbrian made apple juice from this amazing family run business at Low Luckens, Carlisle. Oh my, this is so tasty!!
Romney’s
Biscuits
Romney’s is famous for it’s Kendal Mint Cake, but did you know they also produce delicious handmade biscuits as well? You’ll find them in our welcome hampers to try.

The Golden Beer
We love their tag line : Find Your Mountain! Well there’s plenty to explore round here before heading back to the cottages and choosing Wainright’s Golden beer from the Honesty Bar.

Distillery
The Lakes Distillery produces some amazing spirits – Gin, Vodka & Malt Whisky, and these can be found on the shelves of our Honesty Bars. What not visit and take a distillery tour next time you visit?

Our carpets are made from 100% locally sourced Herdwick & Swaledale wool, provided by this wonderful Cumbrian based business.
Abraham Moon
Fabrics
We have used Abraham Moon’s wool coverings from the creation of Angel Barn in 2002, we love their fabrics, it’s so hard wearing and even better that it’s made in Yorkshire!

Did you have a good nights sleep? Oh Yes! We often get asked where our mattresses come from, and you guessed it, they are made in Cumbria. You can buy direct, just ask us for contact details.
Kudos
Showers
When we developed Angel Barn our aim was for everything to be produced or bought in Cumbria and Yorkshire and if that wasn’t possible then from the UK. These Kudos shower screens and trays are from Holme in Cumbria and after 8 years in service we can highly recommend then.
