Shepherd's Cottage - Downstairs

The cottage is spacious yet homely with oak beamed ceilings, original stone mantle over the claret Aga and old spice cupboards.  An ancient flag stone welcomes you into the handmade kitchen, which has been lovingly created by Richard.  Everything you need to cook up a feast is here. Enjoy the treats inside the champagne welcome hamper, which include Debbie's award winning homemade bread and cake, the perfect start to your holiday.

If cooking isn't your thing, then you can simply wander across the footpath to The Fat Lamb Inn, just 4 fields away.  There are two more pubs in the village of Ravenstonedale, just 3 miles away.

The kitchen is connected to a spacious lounge with sofas just waiting to snuggle up on.  Why not watch a DVD or catch up with the outside world using the superfast fibre optic WIFI.  The wood burning stove is ready to light in winter and for summer the back door opens up to the sunset patio, perfect for that early evening glass of wine.

The walled cottage garden has lots of space to relax, pop yourselves under the great copper beech tree with a book, or enjoy lunch in the sunshine at the oak table and chairs.  As the evening draws in you can light a fire in the kadai fire bowl for a bbq then add some logs and watch the flames flicker as the stars above bring in the night.
