Recently renovated, the decor at A Corner of Eden gives a modern take on a traditional Georgian farmhouse. You will be surrounded by luxury fabrics, warmed by our open fires and tempted by the excellent home-made food. Each bedroom has its own unique feel and the two bathrooms provide power showers and a cast iron bath. The special historic listing of our farmhouse has prevented us from providing en-suite facilities although most of our guests favour the traditional approach to life.

Breakfast can be a leisurely, decadent affair; a traditional selection of the best locally sourced ingredients. Guests are welcome to come down to breakfast in the big fluffy dressing gowns that are provided, allowing that relaxed, unhurried start to the day. A good selection of pubs and cafes can be found within a short distance of A Corner of Eden, giving you a variety of options for evening meals and lunches. From time to time we also offer dinner which, always experimental and never from a recipe, is always a delight.

There is always a selection of home-made cakes, home-made bread, cheese, home-made chutney & jam, fruit, tea, coffee and juice in the ‘Butlers Pantry’, for you to help yourself to if you get a bit peckish during the day. The honesty bar is stocked with a healthy supply of robust reds, cheeky whites, smoky malts and curious beers and spirits - just write down what you have had and settle up at the end of your stay.

Many guests choose to relax in a candlelit ‘champagne bath’ at least once during their stay, a tradition that has been kept up by the owners who like their own little lap of luxury. There are neither televisions or phones in any of the rooms, allowing you to completely escape from the humdrum of modern life (but if the withdrawal symptoms are too strong we can provide televisions for the serious addicts). Wireless broadband connection and mobile phone signals (from most providers) keep you in touch with the outside world when necessary.

You may choose to take over the whole house for some quality time away with friends, a special celebration or a busy activity weekend where you can return to the cosy luxury of A Corner of Eden. Three double bedrooms and one twin bedded room, two bathrooms, plus exclusive use of the lounge and dining room, provide generous space for a great get together.
