Transformed from a derelict dwelling, the decor at A Corner of Eden gives a modern take on a traditional Georgian farmhouse. You will be surrounded by luxury fabrics, warmed by our open fires and tempted by the excellent home-made food. Each bedroom has its own unique feel and the two bathrooms provide power showers and a double-ended bath. The special historic listing of our farmhouse has prevented us from providing en-suite facilities although most of our guests favour the traditional approach to life.

Breakfast can be a leisurely, decadent affair; a traditional selection of the best locally sourced and organic ingredients. Guests are welcome to come down to breakfast in the big fluffy dressing gowns provided allowing that relaxed, unhurried start to the day.  For evening meals and lunches there are 3 great pubs within 3 miles of A Corner of Eden, each with an individual style and the nearest is a 10 minute walk across the fields. For House Parties we can offer a 3 course set dinner which, always experimental and never from a recipe, is always a delight.

There is always a selection of home-made cakes, home-made bread, local cheese, fruit, tea, coffee and juice in the ‘Butlers Pantry’, for you to help yourself to if you get a bit peckish during the day, this is included in the price of your stay. The Honesty Bar is stocked with a healthy supply of robust reds, whites, rose & sparklies, smoky malts and local beers and spirits - just write down what you have had and settle up at the end of your stay.  If you wish to bring along a special bottle or two to enjoy whilst you are here, then a corkage charge of £5 for wine and £7 for fizz will be added.

Many guests choose to relax in a candlelit ‘champagne bath’ at least once during their stay, a tradition that has been kept up by the owners who like their own little lap of luxury and they are happy to prepare everything for you. There are neither televisions or phones in any of the rooms, allowing you to completely escape from the humdrum of modern life (but if the withdrawal symptoms are too strong we can provide televisions for the serious addicts). Wireless broadband connection and mobile phone signals (from most providers) keep you in touch with the outside world when necessary.

You may choose to take over the whole house for some quality time away with friends, a special celebration or a busy activity weekend where you can return to the cosy luxury of A Corner of Eden. Three double bedrooms and one twin bedded room, two bathrooms, plus exclusive use of the lounge and dining room, provide generous space for a great get together.
